On World Book Day we enjoyed a Vocabulary Parade and came into school dressed for a word. To add to the excitement we had an author visit from Ryan Hand as well. We were delighted to hear all about Ryan’s book, Amazing Archie, our own Archie in P5, even got to try on the magic purple coat. Gosh, he looked good! Then Ryan read us an extract and sang us one of the songs from the book. Now some lucky people have been able to order their own copy and enjoy the whole story.
In Greenisland we believe reading to, and with children is one of the greatest things you can do, even before the experts list the educational benefits. 😁📚 We love books❤️.
