Primary 1 had a great time measuring and mixing the ingredients to make the perfect pancake batter. Flour, sugar, eggs, buttermilk and our secret ingredient, a pinch or two of eggshell. Once the pancakes were cooked and flipped the boys and girls experimented with toppings. Chocolate spread and maple syrup were very popular. A few stuck to the traditional lemon and sugar, while others tried to get all the different toppings onto one pancake.
