On Tuesday 13th June we will be having an Action Aid Charity event 'Topsy Turvy Day' - bring £1 and you can come to school in your own clothes back to front!
For many years Greenisland Primary has supported two children through Action Aid. One child Rashmita is from India and the other child Alhassan is from Ghana in Africa. Both children are extremely poor. Our donations of £120 per child help to improve the lives of these two children. Our money helps to feed them, clothe them and send them to school. Here is a picture of a bucket Rashmita drew. She writes that her father uses the bucket to water the vegetables. She also uses the bucket to wash herself. There is no bathroom in her house.
Alhassan has drawn two types of houses that are built in his community. One is a round house and the other a square shape. The food he likes best is rice and beans. At the moment we don’t have a photograph of Alhassan.
